Snort Crashing

Snort has started crashing on our Sophos UTM  today (or last night) and has generated a few gigabytes of core dumps.  So far it has crashed six times today.  A few of the times it has not come back and required power cycle.  

We are on the latest version, 9.004-33


Is any one else experiencing problems?  I am just trying to figure out if the problem is local or not.

    first off don't power cycle.  if snort is not working right turn it off via webadmin.  if you are a home user i would make a config backup and reload as you have something else wrong.  if you have support get them involved.  power cycling only introduces corruptions into the install and leads to further issues.
