How to block user access internet in certain time using Astaro (ASG) V8

Hi All,

How to block user access internet in certain time using Astaro (ASG) V8?

Example: We have student group and we don't want to allow them to access internet from 10:30PM to 4:00AM. 

Could you all give me some guide on this. I try using filter action + filter assignment but it not works.

    Here i attach the rules that not allow student go internet at boarding midnight.

    Hi, Zahir, and welcome to the User BB!

    A basic rule for traffic arriving at an interface is: DNATs first, then Proxies and VPNs, and then, finally, manual routes and Firewall rules.

    That means that any traffic handled by the web proxy is allowed before your manual Firewall rules are considered, so you would need to make a Proxy Profile.  If that disn't work, I suspect you added something in the 'Users/Groups' in the Filter Assignment - that must be left empty unless you're using SSO or some other authentication.

    If you weren't using Web FIltering, I would suspect that you had a Firewall "Allow" rule above your "Block" rules.
