Dear Sophos Network Security Partners, Customers, and Home users,
It has been a year since Astaro became part of Sophos. *It was a successful year: the business grew faster than planned, we invested substantially in headcount, and started working under a new, more comprehensive strategy.
A year ago the three of us committed to Sophos that we would work through the integration and during that time we would look and see if there was a longer-term role for each of us. After much discussion, while on one hand there is the desire to continue to work together, we have concluded that there are not the right roles that make sense.
As a result, Markus and Jan have departed Sophos at the end of June. Gert will hand over his current responsibilities soon, but will continue to work at Sophos as a part-time technical advisor.
Don’t expect any change. For a long time the business has been run by the excellent team we were fortunate to assemble, many of which have now taken key roles at Sophos.
We want to take this opportunity to say thank you, thank you, thank you! Your trust, loyalty, and open feedback have made Astaro a fantastic experience for us.
