Renew license for Home Use Version?

I have been a happy home user of Astaro Security Gateway for many years. I have written about, promoted and recommended the commercial version for just as long. Now that Astaro has been bought out, I have been getting messages from my ASG that various functions/licenses will be expiring!

Please dont tell me that simple home users are now going to get screwed and have this free version taken away from them! This would certainly be the end of my use, support and promotion of the company behind Astaro.

"Your NetworkSecurity license subscription will expire in 7 days."

    I got the same thing, but I was able to go to the my.astaro.com and renew my license for free...

    I am trying to do that but I must be doing something wrong. I tried to put in my license ID of from the Management/Licensing section of the admin interface, but it returned the error below. Am I doing this in the wrong place?

    There is a problem with the key "***xx"

    Your activation or upgrade key is not valid or has already been applied. Please contact your sales representative or email licensing@astaro.com.

    After I logged into my.astaro.com, I went to License Management, selected my expired free license, renewed, and then downloaded the license file and installed it on my firewall.

    you can renew your home license within 7 days of expiration at my.astaro.com.  There's no indications that free home use is being taken away..no panic required here.

    Thanks everyone. I thought I had applied the new license last year, but does not look like it and so downloaded again, applied and now it has been updated to 2014. Sorry everyone, problem was clearly between the monitor and the chair...ME!

    Yeah, I hate it when my chair-keyboard interface seems to malfunction unpredictably! [:D]

    first, i´m sorry about entering an other one´s thread
    but i´ve the same problem with the expiring home licence. 

    When i go to  the licence management tab and chose the new licence i think there is a downgrade or did i understand something wrong?

    "Usage of the SMTP/POP3 proxy now requires a Mail Security subscription
    Usage of the HTTP proxy now requires a Web Security subscription-After upgrading your license to the new model you will no longer be able to use these features without the subscriptions. This Upgrade is not reversible!"

    Can "upgrade" to a permanent Base License, Essential Firewall 2013-06-23.

    That's a bit confusing.  Are you certain you've chosen your Home-use license?  Or is this your Partner license?

    i´m shure that this is my home licence.
    Did the first steps/testing at home and later implemented ASG´s appliances to our customers.

    Have 2 licenses, a "Full "Home Licence from 2009 that need to be renewed and a Essentials Firewall License from 2010, but most features are deactivated, means useless for me.
