Issue by finishing setup wizard

good morning community,

some days ago, i've installed astaro security gateway v8 - home version on as vm on my esxi 5 host.

some key infos:
768 MB RAM
1 core (~3.2 Ghz)
10 GB HDD
2 NICs

the vm is installed out of downloadable iso file (file from 16.01).
i can filling all the steps in the basic wizard after installation
in the last step i get an summary overview und advise to press finish (see attached picture_1).
i press finish. now the summary box is empty (see pic_2), the finish buttom still availible an nothing is going on.
one more time press finish -> no result.
is only possible press cancel, then wizard ends an all setting from wizard lost.
if i not press cancel, but reload in the right upper corner the login mask show again und wizard beginn again.

please help

    If there would be a MD5 mismatch, there would have been an error within setup

    Probably, I'm just saying that strange setup issues indicate a hardware-type problem, and that you should check the simple things first.

    ok, i think i will load the ISO again and then run setup once more.

    i will report then.

    just checked the MD5.
    It is correct!

    So no need to load ISO again!

    Any suggestions?

    I've seen others recommend using the virtual Intel e1000 NIC instead of the standard.  The only other idea I would have is to install the 8.2 that worked for you and UP2Date that to 8.301.

    Thanks for your answer.

    I just performed a full reset, and now i am setting up all by hand.

    It is not that difficult.

    The biggest key is to use a host name that's resolvable in public DNS.  If you're restoring from an earlier config backup, then there really isn't much to do.

    I don't use a publicly resolvable hostname....you don't have to.  If i did that then my internal dns gets screwed up and for AD that's even more crucial.

    William, for the AD join, if the Astaro is named mail.mydomain.com, and the internal domain is somedomain.local, the Astaro joins as mail.  There shouldn't be any conflict.

    yes but why would i want my firewall to join with my mailservers name?  no need.  just have it's hostname as a local name and go from there..

    I am experiencing the same problem with the software appliance version of ASG installed directly on hardware.

    I had it installe on vmware first on the same hardware and it worked find. I decided to dedicate this pc only for ASG so I downloaded the latest today (16.02.2012), installed no worries.

    Configuration wizard in the browser stops at the final page with empty summary. I click on Finish but nothing happens.

    I have installed the 64bit version. I might try the 32bit version
