ASG 220 (8.300) unresponsive after login

Hi,

I've recently updated our ASG 220 to 8.300. If we don't touch it, it works fine.
Today I wanted to log in though and after successful login was presented with the dashboard, as I was used to. But then suddenly all internet traffic stopped, the web interface wasn't responding anymore and after a while I got the message that the backend wasn't responding anymore.

If I close the web browser, everything goes back to normal after around 3-5 minutes. When I log back in, everything stops working again. The last display of the dashboard says that the CPU is at 100%.

Has anyone got any idea what the problem might be?

  • How much of a load is this ASG under?  This isn't an older unit with only 512MB in it, is it?

    I would suggest using SSH to connect in, and run top to figure out what is happening.

  • Also, I had some problems with 8.20x that were solved by restoring a recent backup.  That happened twice, and has never happened again.
