VPN connection passing through Astaro.

I am running Astaro 8.202

I have a work laptop that is configured to connect to an OpenVPN server at work.  I installed Astaro several months ago and really like the product, but since I installed it, I have not been able to establish and OpenVPN connection to work.  How specifically do I allow this connection "through" Astaro.  I am not using Astaro as a termination point.  My vpn connection is from my laptop to the OpenVPN server at work.  I have read the Astaro users guide, googled, and searched the forum, but have not found the steps I need to use to allow this connection.

10.10.10.x ---- [Astaro 10.10.10.254 / WAN IP] ---- OpenVPN Server

1) What specific steps do I need to use to allow this connection through Astaro 8.202?

Thanks!

  • Make or confirm that you have a service definition: OpenVPN TCP/UDP 1:65535 → 1194.

    Create a Firewall rule: {10.10.10.x} → OpenVPN → {peerip} : Allow
