I just purchased the 120 for my head office, and after the initial setup I had a few questions about configuring certain things AD related.  My first thought was to sign up to the forums and query the good folks here.  

After registering and waiting, and waiting for my Activation Request.  I thought maybe it was picked up by the spam.  Check the Mail Log and hilarity ensued.



i have since signed up with my gmail account.

    Hi Ibiw, and welcome to the User BB!

    In 'Reporting and Logging', look for the SMTP log.  Please post the lines from the 19th related to the SPF rejection you report above.

    It looks like you're using a forwarding account, and that does "break" SPF.  The solution I use is to create an Exception for SPF for the IPs the forwarder sends from.  Although, I wonder if this could occur if you're using a smart host, but haven't yet added it to 'Upstream hosts' on the 'Relaying' tab.

    That is a pretty funny introduction though! [;)]

    We chose to purchase a 120 box because our current ISP that does mail filtering  is stopping the service at the end of the month.  Looking at the other options such as VPN tunnelling and content filtering, the Astaro 120 looked to solve multiple issues for the price of our current web filtering software.

    I still have lots of items to figure out, but this is a good start.  I suspect that once the mxlogic service is turned off, these SPF checks will be fewer and far between on legitimate mail coming to us.
