Anyone has same problem

Hi everyone

I noticed an annoying problem on my software ASG 8.202.

sometimes, the internal interface freeze up or not working or something, not 100% sure, when it happens, users from internal network can't not browse internet

If I pull the network cable and plug back in, all went working again and this works every time.

checked system messages, did not see anything strange, the internal NIC is a Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5782 Gigabit Ethernet, don't think it is a hardware problem or driver issue,

anyone got any ideas or had similar experience ?

Hi

This sounds like a hardware issue i would replace the nic before thing it is a sofware issue. you could login to the linix shell and su to root do an if config and see if the interface is having errors. You may want ot look in the messages log for possible issue

Hi there

I think I found out why, 2 ports on my HP 8 port switch does not show FD light and my ASG is connected to one of this port, but ASG shows the interface is running at FD mode, anyway I changed to another port and did not have this problem any more.
