I'm looking to potentially replace my current firewall (pfSense) with Astaro. I've downloaded it and have been playing with it in a virtual machine and it's pretty amazing.
I just have a few questions about the home firewall product in general that I hope someone can answer for me:
- what does the "50 IP address limit" refer to? NAT'ed or un-NAT'ed addresses? I have a static /29 block from my provider, 4 of those addresses will be deployed to this firewall. I also run 3 /24 subnets on my lan.
So with that said, would my 4 addresses from my ISP count towards the 50 limit, or is the limit on the NAT side only, or a combo of both?
- does the home use version support VLAN's/802.1q tagging? I use two seperate VLAN's that are currently both on one interface going to my switch.
Thanks for any insight....
