Hi Team.. I have been using ASG since version 4 and couldn't love it more, but recently I have been having some issues and hoping someone can direct me to a quick resolution.
My Internet connection drops few times a day at home and reconnects within seconds not allowing me to troubleshoot the issue without looking at the firewall. At home I only use WiFi and no physical wires and have replaced the Wireless router multiple times and multiple brands (so I know it isn't the router). Now using Cisco's e4200. The Wireless connection between my PC and Wifi Device doesn't disconnect, just accessing the internet.
Here is my configuration
--- Astaro ---
ASG 8.202
3 NIC Cards - LAN, WLAN, WAN
Firewall Config - Very simple
1. LAN Network is allowed to go anywhere using any ports
2. WLAN is allowed to go anywhere using any ports
I am not using any other feature (for now) except Site2Site VPN and Remote Access
--- Wifi Router ---
Network Cable from WLAN interface of the ASTARO to one of the ETHERNET port on the wifi router (not the Internet port)
Wifi Routers every feature is disabled except the Wireless access
DHCP is disabled (provided by astaro)
I don't know what else is necessary but please let me know and I'll add.
The main issue is the Internet access being dropped once or twice a day, different times. I think it maybe happening when I am downloading large files or using the internet heavily, but I cannot pinpoint any other commonality between the dropped times.
