ASG120 HA Mode and UPS

I have an UPS connected to one ASG120 box which is in HA (Hot Standby) mode.

What will happen with the Standby Box when the box the UPS is attached to will power down due to low battery?

I would like to use the two ASG120 boxes as a NUT server and give them their own UPS. Is that possible in HA mode?

    I imagine you could do something at the command line, but it wouldn't be supported and it probably wouldn't survive a version Up2Date.

    There is a relevant feature request: Management: Enable UPS sharing

    You could connect the UPS to a server, and create a shutdown script there for the ASG.  It's not clear to me that there's any advantage for the ASG though - a "graceful shutdown" is not necessary.  I'm ready for someone to correct me, but I think the only advantage of connecting the UPS to the Astaro USB port is to allow the ASG to send SNMP and email alerts when power is down in the environment.

    1. some people have had corrupted installations due to power failures.

    One UPS per firewall, each powered off of a separate circuit for the most protection.

    Each ASG it's own UPS. That's what I have here. The two ASG's are in HA (Hot Standby Active-Passive) mode.

    So imagine ASG1 is losing power, switch to battery and shuts down when almost drained.
    ASG2 has it's own UPS, which also was losing power, but has enough battery capacity. What will happen to this ASG2?

    Will it shut down because ASG1 shuts down (controlled) or does it take over ASG's 1 role and become the master?
