Astaro 8.103 and ESXi 4.1

Hello. I deployed Astaro 8.103 as a virtual machine, using ESXi 4.1. I assigned only 20GB as a hard drive for the virtual machine, which is filling up (data disk partition mostly). Can i expand the virtual hdd? i mean if i shutdown the virtual machine and  assign 40GB disk space, when astaro starts, will it recognize the new capacity and expand the existing partitions accordingly, or will it ignore the extra space? I don't want to lose the existing data and log files or any other historical data.

    Hello. Thanks for the answers. The system is running for over a year, so nothing funny about logs and disk space. I will make a  try with gparted and let you know.

    Just wanted to chime in here, i actually used this method this morning on my Astaro VM and it worked fine.

    Added the space to the VM via ESX, booted gparted, moved the temp partition to the end of the total drive size, then extended the log volume.

    Astaro booted up without a problem after and sees the new space.
