WAN connection Astaro

I used to be able to connect to my Astaro from WAN
Recently i got a new DSL wich gives a different IP on my Astaro WAN NIC

My current setup:
DSL:
WAN: 94.208.**.***
LAN: 192.168.178.1

Astaro:
WAN: 192.168.178.10 (DHCP from DSL)
LAN: 10.0.0.2 

Please advise how to proceed, perhaps static routing[:S]

    So, you got DSL as a second WAN.  Are you saying that you're not getting an IP Address from the DSL connection?  

    If so, the first thing that you need to do is to contact your provider to find out if you should be connecting to the DSL using DHCP, PPPoE, or PPPoA/PPTP.  There isn't one way, each provider uses a different type.  Once you find out which it is, you will need to go to the Interface in WebAdmin and set the correct type and configure appropriately.

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for the tip, i tried PPoE, but after applying the setting my Astaro cannot be reached anymore.
    I am trying to log on to the console but cannot get in.
    I am absolutely sure about the password being correct.

    When (or if) i get in i want to restore from the command line, can you help with that as well perghaps?
    I do not have any backups other than on the Astaro machine (stupid i know...)
    I rebooted 2 times but it does not help.....


    Please help, otherwise i have to to a manual reinstall with a ton of settings....

    Are you trying to connect to WebAdmin from the LAN side, as you have previously or over the internet from one of your WAN connections?

    I have hi-jacked my own thread.........[8-)]
    The getting connected to my Astaro is solved (i will spare you the details[[:)]])
    I did fixed the backups being mailed to me daily, so a restore should be a lot easyer in the future.

    Back to the original thread:
    I will ask my provider which setting to use on my Astaro WAN NIC.
    In the past the 'Cable Modem DHCP' worked fine for me.
    I will update this tomorrow, thanks for the support so far, i appreciate it very much!!

    Update on this issue:
    Contacted my provider to request that the routing function of the new DSL box to be turned off.
    This resolved the issue.
