MIBs for Astaro

Hi,
i´ve download den MIB-File to import in the Paessler PRTG, but it doesnt work:

Output of the Import-Tool:

Import successful!

Report for S:\Hersteller\Astaro\Software\ASTARO-MIB.txt:
Sucessfully included files: 1 of 1
Sucessfully imported OIDs: 0 of 0
OIDs that were useful for PRTG: 0

No OIDs imported. The ASTARO-MIB.txt looks good (open with wordpad).

Someone use the Astaro MIB´s?

  • I don't think there are any special OIDs for Astaro, just the regular Linux ones, so, if you have a MIB for Suse Linux, for example, that should work.

    Did that work?

    Cheers - Bob

  • I was using PRTG about one or more years ago and found the same thing.
I had all the interfaces and quite alot of snmp traps being sent to PRTG from three machines. I don't remember what I did it was pretty easy. But I found a lot of problems with PRTG. From memory if you setup a device it wouldn't set up the directory data path and you had to do all this manual setting up, it would setup half of it but not the other half.
In the end it just wasn't doing the kind of reporting I wanted.
