Hi,
I made the mistake of installing an energy monitor in my house recently and as a consequence have switched off every non-essential piece of electrical kit and seen my energy costs reduce substantially. (the missus isn't happy though, as I bleat at her when the hairdryer is switched on..)
One piece of kit I was using was an old AMD PC running ASG for my home. This is now switched off due to it contributing many pennies / hour towards my bills. Now before everyone starts saying the cost of internet security is worth it .. i know.. I'm now looking to replace my aging AMD box with a power efficient device.
Looking around there really is only 1 option for me that I can find, and thats something called a "DreamPlug" which (even under full load) only consumes 7W of power and comes with 2 x GBit ethernet ports. More details on this hardware here : New IT - Products
Ultimately, my question is this: Can I run ASG software on this device (ARMEL processor), and if not, are there any plans to support this type of architecture?
Thanks
Freudy
