Astaro.org on your iPhone and Android

Hi Everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that now our User Forums have become more mobile friendly. We have added an official application using a ForumRunner backend to allow you full interaction with the Astaro.org forums on your iPhone and Android devices.

When visiting the astaro.org URL in your mobile browser, you should get prompted if you would like to install the application via the appropriate app store, however depending on if you've tested it in the past or are using a different Forum Runner product you might not see that auto-prompt.

In any case, to enjoy the full forums in a slick mobile application, just search for Astaro (or Astaro.org) in your phones app store/market. We'll look to add Blackberry support near the end of summer perhaps when its available.

You can see threads, post, check your PM's, and get push notifications for various events. Oh I forgot, it's totally free. [;)]

    After the latest Apple security update to iphones, ipads and macs the forum subscribed threads failed with a security issue.
    Removed the app and installed it and it is working again.
    Will try the android device shortly.

    Update, doesn't work on the android tablet. A user has given it a bad review because of the server error message.

    Further update. MAC ipad mini updates, but continually throws up not authorised errors. The information icon showing updates to the subscribed threads doesn't work eg the cont and threads does not show.

    More updates. Disabled web proxy and application control. Google android tablet downloaded all updates without any problems except the Astaro forum app. On the mac ipad the Astaro app now works without errors, even after re-enabling web proxy and application control..
