Astaro 8 and licensed ip over limit

Dear all,
Upgrading from Astaro 7 to 8 I exceed limit of my ips.

Nothing is changed in my network.
The problem is related to all computers which don't need to traverse the firewall but are counted just for casuality.
I've read the best solution is avoid to contact Astaro.

So, what is the best solution?
-So, I give a fake gateway to my clients which don't need to traverse the firewall, Is it correct? This fake gateway should be a free ip or a real ip (to avoid broadcasts)?
-I've disabled all astaro services i don't need (DHCP, DNS, NTP ecc)

Do you have some suggestions?

    Hi, you can remove the gateway completely from clients that don't need one.

    That's the problem! Using astaro 7 I never go out of licenses keeping empty gateway definition in my clients.
    In the same situation now I'm out of license on 3 ips!
    So, yesterday I've defined a fake gateway (an ip not assigned in my network) in my clients and now ip license counting seems has stopped.

    Now I'm in trouble because I'm out of 3 ips but 2 of them needs to traverse the firewall.
    So, how really exceeding IPs are managed by firewall?
    I notify sometimes my web servers are too slow, and after some minutes returns fast.
    Is this situation caused by exceeding ips?

    Exceeding your licensed IP count shouldn't have any real effect on the firewall's performance, assuming your hardware was sized correctly. You'll get constant warnings about exceeding your licensed limit but that's about it.

    To figure out if the performance of your Astaro is affecting the web servers, you'll want to look at the system load & memory usage specs during the time when the servers are reported as being slow and compare that to when they're running normally.

    mine is a virtual appliance running on ESXi 4.1
    If the problem isn't related to licenses, I think the problem is related to the absence of a correct "wmware tools" version (I opened another thread on this case)...

    probably the other VMs takes advantage by vmware tools and their lan traffic gets priority on astaro appliance (I have more VMs on the same phisical lan card).

    It seems a newer vmware tools will be available in the near future... but if the problem persists I will need to switch to software appliance based on real hardware.

    I hope newer vmware tools will be available asap...
