Licence Usage

Ok just to be clear here... I am a home user

Take for instance my TV downstairs ( Wii, PS3, Acer Revo, Direct TV Box, Xbox, TV, Wifi Access Point )

This is 7 Devices  Alone.. I have 5 computers in my rack (not always on) 3 iMacs, 1 Macbook, 7 VoIP phones, 3 TV's Upstairs with networked Direct TV boxes, 2 with HTPC, Mac Mini Server, My Desktop, Asus Laptop, Netbook, iPad, 3 iPhones, 2 HTC Evo's 

I am sure I am forgetting some stuff. 

This is like 38 devices if my math is right... 

Yet I get a email this morning barking about licence usage at 55 devices.. I look at the same damn mac address is assigned different IP's in the scope.. Please for the love of all that is holy make it go by mac address... This is insane to be having licence usage go through the roof due to not wanting to set every single device on my network static. 

In the mean time what do I do?

    Looking at the lines you posted from your log files you have changed IP address ranges on your ASG and that is why you have double assignment of MAC addresses to IP addresses.

    If you are running an upstairs and a downstairs network at some stage you have changed the cables over.

    Umm no I have not changed ranges. Nor do I have separate networks. Sorry I am just irritated at the way it jumps from ip to ip eating up crazy amounts of licences when it could go by mac addresses.

    Its to the point I cant use half the devices on the network with internet as it wont assign ip addresses.

    As RFCat_vk pointed out, from the log the same mac address was assigned an IP from two different networks first 192.168.240.X network and then from the 192.168.0.X network. Are you using a /16? What network is correct?

    Are you using astaro for the dhcp server? How do you have dhcp setup and what scope?

    I want it all on 192.168.1.X

    btw I will note I have never had these problems till version 8.. I am about to just terminate astaro all together its making me mad.. half the stuff on my lan is now non functional.. I am at 68 ip's active now...

    Sorry I am just really irritated by the behavior it is exhibiting right now. I need to be able to purge the licence cache so I can actually use my devices. I specified IP's for all the devices with static there is only 36 devices. 

    Is there a way to reset the licence scope that way I can use devices again?

    Nevermind I just restored my backup and nuked the licence stuff. I will deal with it now
