Astaro wins an award

Astaro Security Gateway was selected the winner in the VPN Software category of the WindowSecurity.com Readers’ Choice Awards. Checkpoint VPN-1 Power and Barracuda SSL VPN were runner-up and second runner-up respectively.

On the same website Astaro comes second to Microsoft's ISA Server in the Firewall Software category. Not bad going [:)].

The VPN result wasn't clear to me, but the second to ISA Server is a big deal, for sure! With all of the Microsoft shops out there using ISA compared to the number with Astaro, it's a testament to the conviction of the Astaro admins that their tool truly is exceptional.

Congrats to the Astaro developers!

How can this vs. be objectiv, if you look at the features from ISA and the feature of Astaro.
ISA is in it principal a proxy and Astaro is a UTM solution.[:S]
