Redirection of IP

The webserver behind our firewall is under maintenance so we would like to enable redirection so the webtraffic be forwarded to another Server which is located at branch office.In this case we don't have to change any DNS entry and when the webserver is back we only need to change the firewall rule.
How can this be done on the Firewall?

    Yes if the server is Internal then the DNAT rule works without any problem and redirection works but in our case the server is external and there is also no VPN.I even tried Full NAT but still it did not work and on the other end the Server is not behind any firewall.
