Protocol handling best practices

Hi,

I have Protocol handling all of them disabled....

Which of them must be enabled?

    I assume you mean "Protocol Handling" under the advanced tab of the packet filter? Unless you have a specific need for them, it's safest if they remain unchecked.

    The "Connection tracking helpers", on the same page, those are a different story. If you use those specific protocols (FTP, IRC, PPTP, TFTP) it's safe to enable them.
