Where do you look to see what is blocked?

We use the "OneSuite Fax" application to do electronic faxing.

It's not working at all now after installing the ASG120.

Where do I look to see what is being blocked and how to unblock whatever it is?

  • You need to look at the packet filter, IPS, and possibly the HTTP/S Content Filter logs.  Looking at those, you should see if the Astaro is blocking anything.

  • The live log packet filter was what I was looking for, looks like that's something I'd use a lot for troubleshooting.  Just getting over the learning curve, but I think with this and knowing now how to add rules with what I see blocked here will do the trick.
  • Great.  Just keep that mantra in the back of your mind -- when in doubt, check the logs.  A lot of folks miss the IPS logs -- make sure you check those too when having an issue.
