ASL v8 ip addresses exceed license.

Hello,
I have a ASL v8 box with a home user license.  The issue I'm having is an error on the "Active IP Addresses" page under "Management"->"License".
The error states: "Number of IP addresses currently licensed: 50
Number of IP addresses currently in use: 131 (exceeds license by 76)"

I have never exceeded 50 IP addresses on my network.  If I inventory my network the number doesn't exceed 20 IP addresses.

Does this bug leave my hosts open to attack because of this error?  Also how do I resolve the issue?

It doesn't leave you vulnerable to any attacks; it's a known issue in the licensing daemon; it's miscounting IPs due to portscans, etc. I don't know if there's a patch available for the issue yet or not; if you have a commercial license with Standard or Premium Support, I suggest that you start a case with Astaro Support.

8.001 has been "soft released" meaning you can download it manually and upload to your system.

Good to know; didn't see this bug listed in the release notes. It does appear to be working OK on one of the test units we have.

Damn, i am having the same now here on our Partnerlicence we use.
I just wanted to migrate some customers to v8 but now i have huge worries as they are high production environments with 10+ VPN's connected.

Where is the bugfix ? I thought v8 is clean to use in production ????

Hm...arent we through the times being testrabbits in production environments from v1.8 to 7.506 ???? :-)

Cmon Astaro boys , the lastest bugs were heavy to argue for us partners to our customers (IPS+viruspatterndilemma) and now again ?
