how secure is simple AV scan?

I´m right now using double av scan, but internet browsing is not lovely at all.

maybe an AV double paranoid problem?

how secure is normal av scanning?

It's much better than having no antivirus.At the moment as a primary engine we use Avira. Avira had really good rankings on the latest results by independent organisations
