Speed test

Ever since i have installed my new Astaro i try to do a speed test with Speakeasy or speedtest.net and it is not working...

Ping is slow
Takes about 30 second for the test to start
Test is going true the roof with 50 to 60Mbps even if my connection is only 10Mbps...

Anny idea?

turn off a/v scanning of http AND turn off the caching. then clear your browser's cache and do it again.

Thank you that did it but turning av scanning is not a good idea. At least the cache is off.

the a/v scanning shutdown was for testing only. What's your cpu and ram?

For every test speed you perform you should have caching off. Create a exception for the specific URL to not use caching. Antivirus shouldn't be off. I am not facing any issues when performing speed tests

for some speed tests the scanning delay skews the results. Yes he can do the exception but mine was a temporary measure. Putting in an exception is effectively the same thing on a site by site basis.
