ASG - Modify screen resolution

Greetings,

just a short question: I'm using the VMware ASG Image and want to change the screen resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600
-> As far as my Linux knowledge goes I have to modify the Grub entry. I've done it like that on all my Linux servers but I'm not sure if it's possible with the ASG or if I have to accept it/try another approach.

Hi, you might need to re-mount the root fs in read-write mode; after that you should be able to edit grub.conf.

Note that it will be overwritten by up2dates and modifying the system can void your support.

Hi,

thank you for information. In that case (reset after update) I guess it's not worth the effort.
I don't have support anyway [;)] At least with my "private ASG" ...
