Extand authentication Time and some more question

Hi. Dear..
I have configured AD users with "Transparent with Authentication" under web security HTTP/S Profiles. Because i want repoting by name.now the problem is by default the authentiation time out is 15 minutes.So every 15 minutes user enter user name and password for authentication, which i dont want.
Now my questin is-
1.Is there any way for reporting by name without authentication.
2.is there any way to congigure or extand authentication time out.
3.what is the use of Base DN
4.whata is the use of Active Directory Single-Sign-On (SSO)

    to 2.: you can increase the timeout under http/s->advanced->misc settings->auth timeout.
    to 3:  not really my area, but google / AD docs should be able to tell you.
    to 4: if your users are properly authenticated with the AD, you can use SSO so that your users don't have to enter their login credentials again; afaik only works for IE.
