Pop3 Spam checking

Hi guys first Time user and installer of Astaro. I can't for the life of me get the spam checker to check my pop3. I have three domains I pop and I am using live mail to pop them. How do I set this up as it is not working. Thanks

    Jack, are these domains under your control?  Are they hosted inside or outside your internal network?  I'm unfamiliar with the client you're using - are you sure that it doesn't use HTTP?  If it does, what mode is the HTTP/S Proxy running in?  If not, what ports are you using to access your email?

    Hi,

    Thanks for trying to help. I have a hostgator account outside my network with numerous domains on them. I then downloaded Windows Live Mail this was a while ago as I have been using it forever. I setup accounts in my live mail client to pop these accounts. I also tested with outlook express on my machine and it is not checking that either. IN either outlook or Live mail I setup accounts and choose pop3 then setup my incoming and outgoing email server. This works fine for other firewalls and spam checkers but not Astaro. I hope this helps as I am popping mail as anyone with a comcast or other cable company would pop theres it just so happens these are my domains that I run stores on with unlimited email.

    Are you using POP3S?  If you are using encrypted POP3, or POP3 on any port other than 110 the proxy will not see the traffic.  Is there anything in the POP log?  Also, are you in pre-fetch mode?

    Hi Jack,

    I have tried so much please assume I am not using it at all and tell me the steps. I did try with prefetch on and still saw nothing in the pop log. I believe I am using standard port 110 but will need to check when I get off work. I am probably just not setting it up properly as I do not understand it and have not found a good step by step guide so it's confusing for me. Thanks
