apologize me if this is not the right forum to ask, hopefully someone from astaro migth see this message.


I’m interested in a product that allows me to do the following:
1. Provide a DMZ for about 4 ftp,email, other services   servers
2. Content filter based on user groups policies
3. Antivirus and antispam
4. Easy integration with windows 2003 server.
5. VPN  site-to-site and individual client-to-site
6. Auditing and reporting
7. Selective block of applications like online video, chat, messenger, social networks, etc…  per user groups on active directory.

    It is pretty comprehensive... I suggest checking out The Astaro Product Portfolio and contacting a reseller; you can get an evaluation unit and / or use the VMWare image to check out all of the features, etc.

    hello, I've downloaded and installed the home version and seems in theory to have a lot of features. So far I'm unable to connect it to the w2k3 domain, the message is pretty generic "Join domain failed.".

    But my question are focused based in aproduct that other thrid party is offering called fortinet. I've already sent my question and request for price to staro but no reply from them so far.

    I would like to consider a software instead a hardware appliance but if not possible I would pay atention any good advice I might here.
