Can anyone shed some light on this process which is called by cron twice daily (06.40 and 18.40)?

I see a rise in processor activity (see attachment) which appears to correlate to the script.  Whilst it is not peaking out the system, I am concerned with the bandwidth it is consuming and if it grows, the future potential for problems.  I do not see the peak in processor usage on other systems we manage.  The system is an ASG220 (new) running 7505

    That is a reporting database maintenance job.  If it is running that long you may be keeping a large amount of reporting data, check under Reporting > Settings and see if you are keeping more reporting data than you need.  Reducing  Email Security and Web Security retention times are the ones most likely to make a big change.

    Thanks for this insight.  If I reduce the reporting settings to say 3 months, from the default 6 months, what is it I actually lose?  Will it just mean that when I view the yearly graphs I only have 3 months of activity?  Similarly with Mail usage, I will only have an option to select the last 3 months?
