If I understand what your asking correctly... I'm certain that Astaro doesn't put out updates with known bad IPS rules that are going to cause issues. There wouldn't be a way to automatically disable some specific rule, because they don't know it's problematic until after it has already gone out.
Now what would be very cool and handy is if Astaro could better utilize the Dashboard RSS feed function to notify customers of "emergency" problems and solutions like the rule today that blocked windows update mechanisms.
The thing is that in the same time it would take for Astaro to add an automatic disable rule modification, they can just fix or completely remove the rule for the next IPS u2d package.
