Home edition questions

After I read user guide, comparasion chart of Home edition software, I have a few questions.

1) What make Astaro Home edition better than Untangle free version?

2) The typical set up in user guide was not clear, I like double check with you. Astaro server requires two NICs, one for external and one internal connection??
The typical connection is Cable modem----Astaro server----swicth or router (with wireless features)----PCs, am I correct?

3) With Web filter, is there any difference between paid version and home version?(ie: Paid version can block 100 million + websites, the home edition block may be 10,000 websites).

4) Antivirus, is antivirus in paid version can detect more virus than home edition?

    ReD-MaN: Untangle licensing is quite similar in many regards to Astaro. With the free version of Untangle you don't get CommTouch spam filtering, only single engine AV, and the web filtering is a cut down version as well.  There are other features that require a paid subscription, but nothing that would be applicable to your average home user.
     
    TweetyBird: With Astaro Home as ReD-MaN mentions, you get the full versions of most features. The limiter is the number of networked devices you can use behind the Astaro, which is measured by IP Addresses. This limit was recently raised to a generous 50.

    With Astaro, you can setup sepcific web filter rules per user/IP.
    I have my kid's setup to not allow access after 10:30 PM (I want all the bandwidth....LOL)
    With Untangle, you CAN'T do this without paying for the feature.
    Untangle has an 'override' feature where you can click a button to override a blocked page but it isn't password protected so once you turn on the feature... EVERYONE can bypass a blocked URL.[:O] (Handy!!)
    I dumped Untangle for Astaro for this very reason!!
     
    Astaro can block by keyword and category.
    Untangle can only block by category.
