[solved][7.504]interface PPPoE

Hi All

I just wanted to share the following configuration with you and ask for your assistance. I am thinking of using 1483 Bridged IP LLC encapsulation on my DSL router and then connecting to my Astaro via PPPoE. I've read couple of forums and it should work.What I want to achieve is my DSL modem will act as bridge modem and then my ASG will get the real ip.

Any feedback will be appreciated [:)]

My DSL modem has the following options:

PPPoA/PPPoE
==================
PPPoE LLC
PPPoE VC MUX
PPPoA LLC
PPPoA VC MUX
There is option to Bridge the interface when selecting one of the above(pic attached)

Bridged Mode
==================
1483 Bridged IP LLC
1483 Bridged VC-MUX

Are there any current issues with version 7.504 and PPPoE/PPPoA? I know MTU should be set to 1492

    Hi,
    the 1483 bridged mode is the way to go. Whether you choose VC or LLC will depend on your ISP. I can use both, but one doesn't give as great a throughput as the other, marginal difference though. 
    Then there is stability, you might need to experiment to find your best settings - LLC or VC.
