ASG 7.5 blocking certain HTTPS sites

Hi Everyone , this issue is really frustrating as I have the filter set up to block items in nudity,dangerous weapons and miscellaneous  category .

also I noted the Internet connection to the desktops is slower when ASG 7.5 machine Plugged on comparing to the old set up were the modem was Acting AS Firewall, Even Though I have AMD Sempron 2.2GHZ 1GB of RAM running ASG, but I'm using double NAT as the ADSL modem/Router has Firewall and I'm using the uplink on Eth2 as cable modem. as have not manged yet to run ASG on it's own with ADSL modem set in Bridge mode.

    Hi, Astaro does anti-virus scanning, etc., so there will be some slowdown.

    Try turning off one or both of the http A/V and see how much difference it makes.

    You didn't elaborate as to which sites are getting blocked.
    You should look at the http proxy logs to see why.

    BarryG as always you are the first to respond, I would like to thank you for your continuous support and wish you all the best, sorry for not mentioning the site as I'm not in front of ASG system right now, the site was Australian taxation system for submitting files , it start with HTTPS://somthing.ato.gov.au as for the "something" can't remember exactly now till I'm using that network at home, I will check this Http Proxy logs on Wednesday.

    so you are saying because of A/V , fare enough I was thinking it was to do with double NAT as the ADSL Modem is firewall as well .
    I'm getting new ADSL2+ Service This week so I hope it will work faster as I'm using ADSL service with speed of 1.5MB/s the new service will run at Max speed of 22MB/s.

    one more question BarryG, when you change configurations and set ups in ASG do changes take effect instantaneously or do have to restart ASG. I have notice this during experimenting with ASG can you please clarify this.

    Hey, Mark,

    There have been some bugs that required rebooting, but I don't think there are any known ones at this time.  It can take several minutes for some settings to complete, but, in general, after a Save or Apply, the change is effective when WebAdmin lets you make another selection.
