User Network Object

Hi,

For each User, an User Network object is created in the network definitions, to hold know IP addresses of user.

In my case the addresses are always "unresolved".

In which case the adresses are populated ?

Maybe don't know all cases. But i know that it is assigned on a VPN connections in our setup.

It's populated whenever the user is authenticated. In addition to VPNs, I think being in an authentication mode in HTTP does it. I would be interested if anyone has tested whether the network object for a user synced from Active Directory is resolved even if the user does nothing to require the Astaro to authenticate him.

I'm using transparent proxy with authentication (local users) and my users are unresolved all the time.

A packet filter rule doesn't match the authenticated user (see screenshot).

Am I missing something?
