This may be a dumb question and impossible really. Are there any LAN network scanners/monitors that anyone knows of? Free preferably. Kinda like how Astaro does it and you can view the live packet filter and see all the traffic?
We don't utilize astaro here at the office, however I was looking for something LAN based so I could do some troubleshooting on some computers seeing what traffic is going where.
I'm guessing its not possible from past research I've read. You can only do your local LAN NIC card and broadcast traffic right? Or have things changed?
Just seems like theres gotta be some software out there that I could use to find out incoming/outgoing traffic from an internal IP to our switch or firewall (cisco)
