Creating ASG using custom setup

Hi,
I posted in another section but I think this section is more appropriate.
Is this setup good enough for free home edition ASG? with all on except http proxy?

CPU: AMD Athlon II x2 250
RAM: 6GB DDR3-1333
MB: Gigabyte MA785GMT-US2H
Second ethernet card: DLink 530TX
HDD: Hitachi 320G 7200RPM

Is this setup compatible with ASG? also should I bump to 8GB and 3 Core setup? or does it fully take advantange of 3 cores? should I go with 4 cores or is it too much power?
It'll have 2 webserver, 1 dns server and 1 mailservers with some vpn users and there will also be backend servers too.

Unless you have dozens of users, this is plenty.

I don't know if that motherboard is supported though.

Astaro won't recognize over 4GB of RAM, btw.

btw, why astaro is 32bit OS? Is ram not that important?

The only thing very RAM-intensive in Astaro would be HTTP content caching, and so far, 4GB has been enough and it hasn't been deemed worthwhile to create a 64-bit version. I don't know if there are upcoming plans to change that.

so the 32000 concurrent connections, does that mean for outsider connecting the webserver or just for inside connections? What would be the config for the 32000 connections?

that's not a function of ram but more of network drivers and cpu. Your machine will handle quite a bit more than what the home limitations give even with everything on..[:)]
