Can't Surf when downloading a Torrent

Hello all.

I donno where to really post this question, so i am posting it here


Basicly what happens is when i start to download a torrent or upload one, surfing the net or any other kinda internet activity is halted.

Now i am pointing my finger at Concurent Connections being at it's limit per IP address. Now here is another question? How do i go about upping that limit?

    When you're downloading the torrents are you simply just using all of your bandwidth?  What is the dashboard showing as used bandwidth?  I've seen it where you can just max out your connection, thereby stopping all other internet use until the Torrent stream reduces.  I cured this on a system by configuring QoS to always allow HTTP and other key services bandwidth, thereby preventing the torrent streams from consuming all of the internet link.

    This is at a fraction of my connection speed that it kills off anything else.

    I tried just uploading a torrent, and i was instanly cut from surfing or any kinda net connection.

    Now I did grab utorrent and configure it using the HTTP proxy on Astaro. Everything seems to be working great. Tested a d/l at full speed and was able to web surf, even tested uploading and web surfing worked. So i want to asume it's some kind of settings in Bit comet.

    QOS is turned off, and was turned on to see if any differnce was made. none really other than i was able to surf faster.

    When i go home for lunch i will look into a few things.
