Astaro products, HA Cluster ip config

Hi

I want to setup an Astaro MG and WG Active/Passive cluster , with nodes physically located in 2
different datacenters.

Our network topology requires that IP config of Ethernet interfaces dedicated to cluster communication to be on two diffrents subnets.

My questions are:

1) Is there any decent way to change dedicated interfaces IP configuration? (I mean a way that prevent the config to be overwritten by the WabAdmin...)

2) If not, what would be the best practice to have nodes located on differents sites/networks ?

Hi,

Clustering does not work when using different IP ranges. You need a Layer 2 link that supports Jumbo frames between the two locations.

Is there no way that you could get a Layer 2 link between your data centers? If not: just describe the way you've integrated your devices into the network and the job they are doing a little more.

Maybe this helps with the creativity.
