Me and and friend recently installed astaro to replace our home routers and we noticed one thing the speeds are way slower then our cap on downloads. For example my download max speed is 2.5 megs a sec. Even with all options off but the firewall I still only get 1.1 megs a sec max. I also noticed on my gigabit switch from the machine thats running the astaro setup appears to have a less then a gigabit connection.
My hardware is a dell poweredge 2650 it has two xeon cpus around 3ghz and two built in nics that are 10/100/1000. Its running the latest astaro free home edition. I think it might be a issue with astaro not supporting a faster nic connection with my server but with as popular as that thing was I dont see how. Also my cpu useage never goes over 1 - 2% even when downloading at 1.1M/s
But other then the speed limitation I have no issues with the router whatsoever I love it much better then my d-link 4100.
