Intel Atom 330

I am working on selecting hardware for my first Home Network Astaro Security Gateway.

Basically, I have four PC's.  One of the PC's does heavy web video streaming much of the time (not sure of bit rate).  Another PC does intermittent web video streaming and some large file downloads (CD & DVD ISO's).  The other two PC's usually only do web surfing and some file downloads.

Will an Intel Atom 330 with 2 GB of RAM be able to handle my network with insignificant slowdowns in file download speeds and no interruptions/slowdowns of web video streaming operations?

    Hi, there's LOTS of threads already in these forums about Atoms.

    You didn't specify your internet connection speed, but if under 20mbps, you're definitely fine.

    I need to find out my "official" bandwidth limit.  My ISP's website shows three download limits available:  1.5 Mbps, 8.0 Mbps and 12.0 Mbps.  I think that I have the 1.5 Mbps limit.

    Hi,
    I have run an Atom 330 with 2gb of ram on a 5000/900 ADSL2+ service with lots of websurfing and downloading of large files. The atom load never really went above about 5% under full load.
    I also run most of the anti-things, dual scanning http/https/ftp/smtp/pop3/socks4 proxies. 
    My LAN has 4 PCs and a couple of laptops, plus vlans and voip.
