pfsense as bridge for asg to go through

is it possible to setup pfsense as a bridge maybe between the internet modem and the asg box so i can use pfsense for its traffic shaping power?

if so how would asg be setup? can it remain a router? can pfsense get an autoip from asg and still have pfsense shape traffic then pass it it out to the net?

its a weird question but i am sure someone has asked a similar one.

    I am just trying to accomplish the basic necessity here. a fast firewall with nice utilities like url filtering, reports, av scanning and so on.

    today i tested all those under pfsense and i have noticed it has grown a considerable amount.
    to be honest i may just end up dumping asg for pfsense.

    I might be reading the pfsense specs incorrectly, but it doesn't seem to offer QOS or traffic shaping, it does offer reporting on traffic shaping, but that appears to be on devices external to the pfsense.
    Also I didn't notice AV scanning in the specs, again I could have missed them.

    As Bob advises you can setup traffic shaping in ASG.

    Which security system you choose is up to you eg the one that meets your requirements.
