I just moved my Astaro Gateway setup to a new ESXi v4 box. Everything works, but I don't know how to get VMWare tools installed. Has anyone here gone through that?
I've upgraded from ESX3.5 to vSphere 4.0u1 and now the Astaro VM has the status of 'Unmanaged' in the summary-tab. I hoped the VMtools for vSphere would be in 7.502 but they are not.
Is there an upcomming 'Up2Date' with the new tools?
Now here I want to roll out the ASG Astaro 7.502 on a vSphere 4.
Also I want to be able to manage the VMwareTools on the VM.
I want to use the VMXNET 3 Drivers or ?
any reference to a URL or PDF How to will be welcome.

Hope soon there is a version that is able to update the VMware Tools.
actually is limiting to have a virtual ASG on a vSphere cluster without the possibility to do an hot vmotion because the vmware tools are not recognized.
This create big issues with esx host maintenance....
Please Astaro team solve this problem or don't say "Certified VMware ready virtual machines for IT infrastructure consolidation..."

i tried the virtual appliance download for v8 a few minutes ago...
but this is also without vmtools....
i don't know if the vmtools helps for my problems -> i have very slow connection (rdp, and also with vpn) to internal network...
the asg vm itself runs on a esxi thats connected to my production LAN ... behind the asg is a test lan...
dnat a server rdp is extremly slow... for my opinion it should be very fast because it is 1GBit connected... ??
