I just moved my Astaro Gateway setup to a new ESXi v4 box. Everything works, but I don't know how to get VMWare tools installed. Has anyone here gone through that?
Well, when the server is up and going...yes it works fine without it. When I need to reboot the ESXi host (which hopefully is rare), it's not such a good thing. I have to manually shutdown Astaro first, then the host.

If you use the official VMWare images (can be had at Index of /) the appropriate VMWare tools will already be installed. They may not be the latest and greatest, but it will allow you to properly manage your ASG instance.
