Can't auth via ssh..

Ok I enabled ssh remote access for the first time tonight. Added the internal network only and set a root password. However any of the 4 passwords I've assigned to root from the admin site, all get denied as bad passwords. Do I need to do something first via the console?

You need to set the loginuser and root passwords.

You then ssh loginuser@host. You then su to root. You can't ssh root@host.

loginuser.. forgive me but is that an example or the actual username?

You need to log-in as loginuser first, then su for root access.
