No I am only planning on one Astaro. But thats not really the point here.
I appreciate what your trying to do.. however I pay No-ip because I like having wildcard support on the same domain name I've been using for years now.
Astaro is a wonderful product with a beautiful and informative interface. And Im sure a little thing like only supporting one single DDNS provider will not stop folks from using it. I know it wont be the factor that drives me off. But offering another service in place of the one people are or have been using (in my opinion) doesnt satisfy the problem.
Can the files that contain the DynDNS connection info be edited? If not then I'll just try to install the nix No-IP.com client.
Hi, I've posted instructions on re-purposing the DynDns client (ddclient) by adding a new config file... it should work with any service that works with ddclient.
Note that I haven't figured out how to get it to start automatically though, so you'll need to run it again if you reboot the firewall, or find a way to get it to start.
Awesome.. that's exactly what I was looking for. I will be giving this a try in the morning. Thanks so much.. oh and sorry if I was a bit snappy earlier. [8-)]
