I've installed the astaro 7.305 vm on my HP Compaq nc6400 with 3GB of RAM. I'm ignorant about VMware, so I don't have it running. I followed the instructions and installed it, but I'm confused about what to do with IP assignement and whether I should run it in bridge mode (I think I should, but ???). Maybe someone can help me put together a "How-to" for others...
Presently, I have two virtual adapters in the vm:
Connection 5 with 192.168.245.1
Connection 6 with 192.168.X.6 which is in the subnet of my home
In the vm, for Ethernet 1, "Connected" shows and "NAT" is selected. Ethernet 2 also shows connected and is in "Host-only" mode.

Are u using esx/esxi server (3.x,4.x) or vmware server (version 2)
i have dell vostro 1520 (c2d-3gb-160 gb-gig ethernet ) ,after testing of astaro beta finish i will do any kind of expierment with that ,this is for demo purpose
Will i require manged switch ?for vlan ?
what other thing i will require if i have to give demo with my laptop
