content blocked

Hi,
I can't remeber whether it was in the production forum or the beta forum, but somebody asked for the same thing.

Have you searched through the new feature forum to see if a request exists and added you votes as well as lobbying for it in these forums.

May I know also what is the default settings for time out upon displaying the error "content blocked"?

Erm, wouldn't that produce the same annoying "blocked" message just a lot later (While at the same time killing resources when there is some "global" problem)?

Maybe, Hagman, but not if RFCat_vk and Billybob are correct that his problem may be related to problems sometimes caused by the pattern updates.

The other possibility is that the sites that are timing out are doing so because of the slight delay necessary for virus scanning.  If the sites are trusted (like Microsoft), then the solution is to add an exception for them for A-V scanning.  Since asgnewbie didn't give us more information, it's difficult to make better guesses.

there are a lot of mixed answers here.
I answered regarding the message.
Billybob answered regarding the timeout causing the message. The question that hasn't been asked is mode is the http proxy used in? I believe Billybob's answer is for the http proxy in transparent mode.

At this stage there are no formal patches to the production system to change the timeout.

Things you might look at is the speed of your connection. Also check the http log for the response time to the Astaro reference url sites.

Also what is the cpu load, are you using swap memory at all?

Well, I think everyone puzzled what my question is all about.
Let me start my query again.
Ok, Im using ASG425 with 7.405 firmware version.In regards to my memory it spikes only for 30-70% daily which on my part it works fine and Im using http proxy for transparent mode.

Does Billybob gave me a correct procedure

My second question is, is there a way to change the word "content blocked" for those unreachable site sometimes?
The end users always keep on blaming astaro or IT guys due to the error.
Which we tried to browsed that site on other network, that particular site was down for some reasons.
Again, how do I customize astaro for not displaying "content blocked" to "Page Cannot Displayed" if the site is unreachable/down for some reasons? 
Do astaro team has a workaround or still under their road map for this enhancement?

Great news, guys. I figured out a work around - You can insert CSS coding in the "Company Name" field of the customization section! This means you can make the "Content Blocked" error message white, like the background. This way users don't see it.
