Traffic Direction - Inbound / Outbound

Hi Folks

A quick question for you.

With regards to traffic direction from a network, which is traffic leaving our network to the internet, is that inbound or outbound?

    Depends on the interface.

    Internal Interface: In is traffic coming INTO your LAN.  Out is going out from LAN.
    External Interface: In is traffic from firewall going out.  Out is inbound from the internet to the interface.
